Which Of These Women Did More Damage To The Country?

I suppose it really depends on how much kool-aide you drink on a weekly basis.

They both have been attacked by the left for different reasons. Cindy, for attacking Democrats who keep caving in to the President over war funding and timetables. Monica was attacked for being a religious nut who politicized the hiring of career professionals at the justice department.

Of course, I've never read anyone say they would punch Monica Goodling in the face if they ran into her on the street. That is a common theme when discussing Cindy Sheehan on some blogs.

They Don't Even Want To Know The Truth

"The convicted defendant requesting postconviction DNA analysis is not provided a presumption of innocence and this court need not ignore all the other proof supporting conviction."

This was the ruling of Judge John P Colton Jr, a criminal court judge here in Memphis. Of course the petitioner was Pervis T Payne, my high school friend and convicted murderer. It seems to me the judge is saying he doesn't care what the dna test might show. The judge believes he's guilty so go ahead and execute him? I read about this the day it was issued, this ruling. And I just didn't have the strength to write about it. Nothing seems to do any good. I keep trying to draw attention to this but to no avail. Why not do a dna test?

I guess because if the test came back negative for Payne's semen then the prosecution theory of a rape gone bad would fly out the window. And the state would have to admit that they locked the wrong man up for the last 20 years. And the Millington police department would have to admit that they botched, maybe worse than that, framed an innocent man. I guess it's all academic now. Or soon to be. We can discuss it over his grave I suppose.

This whole thing makes me want to fucking puke.
