Death On An Industrial Scale

I was watching the news coverage tonight, a man operating a large front-end loader, dumping bucket after bucket of bodies into open pit graves. Every hour the death toll climbs. Ten thousand, twenty, thirty, fourty, fifty....
The numbers seem unreal, unfathomable. I watch the news with the same detachment that I watched the old black and white news reals of Aushwitz and Dakau. What do you do, except feel helpless? What do you say, except "why"?

They call this a natural disaster. Doesn't seem natural for so many to die all at once.

One Conservative Christian Speaks Out

"Of course, the sad truth is, neither George W. Bush nor the Republican Party in Washington, D.C. represents genuine Christian or even conservative principles. If they did, they would take their oaths to the Constitution seriously and then neither liberals nor conservatives would have anything to fear, for the U.S. Constitution protects the rights and freedoms of all men."
