GUILTY!

Go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

I wrote that just after I heard the news of the verdict. But after thinking about it, I realize that he may not ever see the inside of a jail cell. All Ted Wells has to do, Libby's lawyer, is keep him out of jail until the day after the 2008 election, some 19 months from now. I would bet shortly after, maybe even the last day, Bush will give him a pardon. And you know what, he probably should. Libby did his duty. He didn't rat anybody out, least of all the Vice-President. Everybody knows what happened here. History will be the judge.
